Build a wheelchair ramp for Ubol in Bang Khen
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Bang Khen.
🇹🇭 Bangkok, Thailand1,288 views
Ubol has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ubol can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ubol's family will cook lunch for the team.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Bang Khen.
