Build a wheelchair ramp for Tanvir in Cox's Bazar
Help Tanvir regain independence: a simple ramp build.
π§π© Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Bangladesh1,241 views
Tanvir has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Tanvir can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Tanvir's family will cook lunch for the team.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Jaipur.
Sending good thoughts. Shared this with my family. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Cox's Bazar.
Stay strong, Omar. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Blessings.
Praying for you, Omar. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Take care
You're not alone, Omar. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Keep going, Omar. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
keep going, Omar. Your post was clear and honest.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 22 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
best of luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Cox's Bazar.
