Sajib has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Sajib can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Sajib's family will cook lunch for the team. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • hope this works out for you. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Tokyo.

    • Wishing you the best, Tahmina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Savar.
