Build a wheelchair ramp for Rylee in Fort Collins
Help Rylee regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Fort Collins, Colorado, United States703 views
Rylee has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Rylee can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Rylee's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

Sending strength, Derek. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Fort Collins
Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Iași this morning. Take care.
