Build a wheelchair ramp for Romeo in Rochester
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Rochester.

Romeo has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Romeo can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Romeo's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Keep going, Gemma. Hope the doctors have good news
keep going, Gemma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
