Build a wheelchair ramp for Randall in Laredo
Help Randall regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Laredo, Texas, United States848 views
Randall has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Randall can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Randall's family will cook lunch for the team.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
