Build a wheelchair ramp for Patricia in Houston
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Houston.
🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States1,073 views
Patricia has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Patricia can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Patricia's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

best of luck, Daniel. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
stay strong, Daniel. Wishing Patricia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Stay strong. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
