Build a wheelchair ramp for Paola in Bari
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Bari.
🇮🇹 Puglia, Italy128 views
Paola has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Paola can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Paola's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

best of luck. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. All the best
wishing you peace, Samuele. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Bhaktapur but we're thinking of you.
Take care, Samuele. Shared it with a few friends
Thinking of you and your family. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Chandler.
Thinking of you and your family, Samuele. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out.

Wishing you peace. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
