Build a wheelchair ramp for Monica in Rome
Monica uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
š®š¹ Lazio, Italy997 views
Monica has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Monica can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Monica's family will cook lunch for the team.
Glad we found this place.

Sending strength. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Taguig
