Help Mateo regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Mateo has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Mateo can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Mateo's family will cook lunch for the team. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Hope it all works out, Santiago. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
