Marisa has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Marisa can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Marisa's family will cook lunch for the team. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.

    • Praying for you, Sergio. Looking forward to the next update. My husband and I read this together.

      • Sending good thoughts, Sergio. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Iztapalapa.
