Lucy has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Lucy can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Lucy's family will cook lunch for the team. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

        • Hope things get better soon, Katherine. Gave what I could, wish it was more.

          • Sending love, Katherine. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Iztapalapa!
