Build a wheelchair ramp for Lucie in Regina
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Regina.
🇨🇦 Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada1,222 views
Lucie has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Lucie can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Lucie's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

you're not alone, Damien. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
You're not alone. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too
Sending strength, Damien. Get well soon. After 25 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Rooting for you, Damien. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Sending good thoughts, Damien. Get well soon. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Nashik
