Build a wheelchair ramp for Layla in Brest
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Brest.
🇫🇷 Brittany, France229 views
Layla has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Layla can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Layla's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thanks for being kind about this.

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Durgapur.
