Build a wheelchair ramp for Kunle in Badagry
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Badagry.
🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria567 views
Kunle has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Kunle can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Kunle's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

Wishing you the best. Get well soon. Thinking of Badagry.
Best of luck, Nneka. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Mumbai.
wishing you peace. Get well soon. Put this on a community board in Rio de Janeiro this morning. Take care.
Praying for you, Nneka. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
Rooting for you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
