Build a wheelchair ramp for Keith in London

Keith uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Keith has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Keith can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Keith's family will cook lunch for the team. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Rooting for you, Annabelle. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Çankaya

    • Hope things get better soon. Hope this works out for you. After 8 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Nha Trang

      • Best of luck, Annabelle. I hope things turn around soon
