Juliet has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Juliet can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Juliet's family will cook lunch for the team. Thank you for reading my story.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Uchenna. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Blessings

    • So sorry you're going through this, Uchenna. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Lagos

      • look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry

        • Wishing you the best, Uchenna. I hope things turn around soon.

          • keep going, Uchenna. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
