Build a wheelchair ramp for Josephine in San Antonio
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in San Antonio.
🇺🇸 San Antonio, Texas, United States501 views
Josephine has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Josephine can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Josephine's family will cook lunch for the team.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you peace, Claire. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Thinking of you, Claire. Hope the doctors have good news. We're a small family in Hải Phòng but we're thinking of you.
