Build a wheelchair ramp for Jemima in Madina
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Madina.
๐ฌ๐ญ Greater Accra, Ghana368 views
Jemima has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Jemima can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Jemima's family will cook lunch for the team.

So sorry you're going through this, Michael. Wishing Jemima a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We're a small family in Adama but we're thinking of you.
sending good thoughts, Michael. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Take care
