Build a wheelchair ramp for Irene in Madrid
Help Irene regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇪🇸 Madrid, Madrid, Spain449 views
Irene has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Irene can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Irene's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

You're not alone, Rubén. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Madrid
Thinking of you and your family, Rubén. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Christchurch but we're thinking of you. Love from Christchurch.
thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Regensburg.
