Kediri
Indah has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Indah can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Indah's family will cook lunch for the team. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • wishing you the best. Hope the doctors have good news. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out.

    • Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.

      • Hope things get better soon, Rani. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. All the best.

        • Sending love, Rani. Looking forward to the next update. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Kediri

          • Stay strong, Rani. Hope the doctors have good news. Greetings from Johannesburg
