Build a wheelchair ramp for Hùng in Hồ Chí Minh City
Help Hùng regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇻🇳 Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam564 views
Hùng has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Hùng can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Hùng's family will cook lunch for the team.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
