Build a wheelchair ramp for Harold in Tampa
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Tampa.
🇺🇸 Florida, United States1,317 views
Harold has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Harold can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Harold's family will cook lunch for the team.

I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Çankaya so I could bring a meal.
sending love, Daniel. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together. All the best
hope things get better soon, Daniel. Hope this works out for you. God bless.
hope things get better soon, Daniel. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Tampa.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Tampa.
Thinking of you and your family, Daniel. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Hang in there. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
