Build a wheelchair ramp for Ella in Edmonton
Help Ella regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇨🇦 Alberta, Canada697 views
Ella has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ella can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ella's family will cook lunch for the team.

So sorry you're going through this. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Wish I lived closer to Awka so I could bring a meal. All the best
Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Miami.
shared this with my family. After 8 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Cairo
