Build a wheelchair ramp for Cora in Dallas
Help Cora regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇺🇸 Texas, United States1,610 views
Cora has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Cora can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Cora's family will cook lunch for the team.

Praying for you, Waylon. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Brampton donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Dallas.
good luck, Waylon. This could happen to any of us
Wishing you the best, Waylon. Shared this with my family. My neighbor in Columbus donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.

You're not alone, Waylon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
