Build a wheelchair ramp for Bola in Gwagwalada
Bola uses a wheelchair and cannot leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.
🇳🇬 Abuja FCT, Nigeria618 views
Bola has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Bola can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Bola's family will cook lunch for the team.
Thank you so much.

You're not alone, Uchenna. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Wish I lived closer to Lviv so I could bring a meal. Love from Cape Town

Praying for you, Uchenna. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 23 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

Take care. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't give up. God bless
