Build a wheelchair ramp for Amol in Vadodara
Help Amol regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇮🇳 Gujarat, India1,231 views
Amol has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Amol can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Amol's family will cook lunch for the team.

You're not alone. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Vadodara
Hope things get better soon, Sneha. Wishing Amol a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Blessings.
Wishing you the best, Sneha. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Put this on a community board in Quezon City this morning
