Build a wheelchair ramp for Albin in Gothenburg
Help Albin regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇸🇪 Västra Götaland, SwedenPosted Oct 1, 2026811 views
Albin has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Albin can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Albin's family will cook lunch for the team.

Praying for you. Hope the doctors have good news. It's not much but it's yours. All the best.
I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care
