Build a wheelchair ramp for Ahmed in Lahore

Ahmed uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Ahmed has used a wheelchair since 2022, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Ahmed can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Ahmed's family will cook lunch for the team. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope the doctors have good news. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Chennai.

This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in New Orleans but we're thinking of you.
