After leaving an abusive relationship, I'm temporarily without a home. I work as a teacher's aide in Los Angeles and I have a steady income, but I can't find a place that will let me in without the first month, a deposit and references that I'm in the middle of replacing.
I'm looking for a spare room for 2 months. I can pay $210 a month toward bills, I'm tidy and quiet, and I'd be happy to help with cooking, shopping or yard work. I have no pets, I don't smoke, and I have three personal and work references.
I understand that inviting a stranger into your home is a big step. I'd be glad to meet in a public place first and to share my work details.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Wishing you peace. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Tallahassee.
hang in there. Your post was clear and honest. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Cairo.
Best of luck, Brooks. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
Thanks for sharing this, Brooks. This could happen to any of us. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Praying for you, Brooks. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I hope September is when things finally get easier. God bless.
