Brian needs someone who understands: peer support in recovery
Brian is six months into recovery and would welcome a mentor with lived experience.

I'm six months into recovery from opioid addiction. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week.
I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like.
I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later.
Thank you so much.

Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
Keep going. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up.
Thinking of you, Brian. It takes guts to ask. Well done.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Pune but we're thinking of you. Love from Pune
