Bhavani received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After a delayed insurance payout, Bhavani is 5 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 4 weeks, Bhavani fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Friday a final eviction notice was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $500.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Bhavani has started working two part-time jobs, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $500 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $40
• Rent arrears (5 months): $420
• Late fees and court costs: $40
Thanks for being kind about this.
