Beatriz has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Beatriz can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Beatriz's family will cook lunch for the team. I hope life is good to you.

  • so sorry you're going through this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. God bless.

    • Thinking of you, Adriana. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Nairobi donated after I showed her your page. God bless.

      • Praying for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Blessings.

        • Thinking of you. Get well soon. Take care

          • Take care. Looking forward to the next update. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

            • You're not alone, Adriana. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Duque de Caxias.
