Barış's multiple myeloma treatment fund
Barış is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Barış was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Hannover Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Barış is 45, worked as a bank teller until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hannover Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,400 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,500
• Scans and lab work: $980
• Transport to Hannover Cancer Centre: $870
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $590
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,460
