Baobab Primary School needs a skate park - Wichai's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Nakhon Ratchasima are raising $150 for a skate park at Baobab Primary School.
Anywhere in the world595 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 327 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $150 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
• Safety equipment and signage: $85
• Permits and inspections: $15
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Wichai
It's all in the list in the story. tools hire and delivery is the big one at $50, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. I'll keep the page updated.
sending good thoughts, Wichai. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.
sending love, Wichai. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Pune donated after I showed her your page. All the best
thinking of you. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
rooting for you, Wichai. Hope you get there. Greetings from Istanbul!
best of luck, Wichai. Hope this works out for you. Take care
So sorry you're going through this, Wichai. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless.
Hang in there, Wichai. Shared it with a few friends. Blessings
Thanks for sharing this, Wichai. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. After 24 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
