Ciudad de México
For fifteen years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Ciudad de México. In July, a storm that collapsed the roof took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $350 goes: • Shop repairs and licensing: $60 • Working capital for the first month: $145 • Initial stock: spare parts: $145 With deep gratitude, Nuria

Keep going, Nuria. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.

    • Wishing you peace, Nuria. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Ciudad de México.

      • Best of luck, Nuria. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Setagaya.
