Back to business - Milena's comeback in Odesa
Milena has run a tailoring shop for nine years; a storm that collapsed the roof destroyed the equipment, and $800 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a tailoring shop in Odesa. In August, a storm that collapsed the roof took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $800 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $560
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $80
• Shop repairs and licensing: $60
• Working capital for the first month: $100
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending love. Hope you make a strong comeback. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Milena
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. replacing three industrial sewing machines comes first ($560) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
So sorry you're going through this, Milena. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Jakarta Barat so I could bring a meal
Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Odesa
Small businesses are the heart of Odesa. Hope you're open again soon. I'll check back for the next update. Take care
