Back to business - Mauricio's comeback in Madrid
Mauricio lost three industrial sewing machines to floodwater and needs $850 to reopen a tailoring shop and support the family.

For fifteen years I have run a tailoring shop in Madrid. In March, floodwater took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $850 goes:
• Working capital for the first month: $280
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $300
• Shop repairs and licensing: $270
Every share and every dollar helps.

Hope you make a strong comeback. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Rohini.
hope it all works out, Mauricio. This could happen to any of us. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings.
Small businesses are the heart of Madrid. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Madrid.
You're not alone, Mauricio. Your post was clear and honest. Love from Phuket.
This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Sacramento
