Back to business - Laura's comeback in Philadelphia
A barbershop in Philadelphia needs help replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors after the demolition of the market.
🇺🇸 Pennsylvania, United States6,772 views
For nine years I have run a barbershop in Philadelphia. In September, the demolition of the market took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $5,200 goes:
• Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $3,500
• Initial stock: supplies: $460
• Shop repairs and licensing: $660
• Working capital for the first month: $580
Thanks for being kind about this.

Thinking of you and your family. Small businesses are the heart of Philadelphia. Hope you're open again soon. Love from Regensburg
Wishing you peace. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Amsterdam so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
