Back to business - Khadija's comeback in Alexandria
A tailoring shop in Alexandria needs help replacing three industrial sewing machines after a storm that collapsed the roof.

For fifteen years I have run a tailoring shop in Alexandria. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $700 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $350
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $120
• Shop repairs and licensing: $110
• Working capital for the first month: $120
Thanks for being kind about this.

This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Alexandria.
Hang in there, Khadija. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Boulogne-Billancourt
Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Love from Birmingham.
Best of luck, Khadija. I hope things turn around soon. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out
