Back to business - Herman's comeback in Quezon City
Herman has run a tailoring shop for nine years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $550 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a tailoring shop in Quezon City. In November, a break-in took three industrial sewing machines. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing three industrial sewing machines: $270
• Initial stock: fabric and thread: $115
• Shop repairs and licensing: $80
• Working capital for the first month: $85
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Herman
Sure. The biggest one is replacing three industrial sewing machines, $270. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks, that means a lot.
Sending love. Shared it with a few friends. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Paris.
best of luck, Herman. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Keep going. Hope you make a strong comeback. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. After 9 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
You're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
