Back to business - Femke's comeback in Breda
A laundry service in Breda needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after a fire in the building.

For twelve years I have run a laundry service in Breda. In July, a fire in the building took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 10 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $4,150 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $550
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $2,950
• Working capital for the first month: $650
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Femke?
Thank you. If you're in Breda I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Fair thing to want to know.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Cali.
Hope it all works out. Small businesses are the heart of Breda. Hope you're open again soon. Thinking of Breda.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Femke.
It's all in the list in the story. shop repairs and licensing is the big one at $550, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
So sorry you're going through this, Femke. Hope you get there. I hope December is when things finally get easier.
Small businesses are the heart of Breda. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
How is Femke doing now?
Keep going, Femke. Shared it with a few friends. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Rooting for you, Femke. This could happen to any of us. Love from Nuremberg.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. It's not much but it's yours. Thinking of Breda
Take care. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless!
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from San Diego.
Stay strong. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to São Paulo so I could bring a meal.
