Back to business - Elijah's comeback in San Diego
A fish stall in San Diego needs help replacing a freezer and scales after a storm that collapsed the roof.
🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States1,493 views
For fifteen years I have run a fish stall in San Diego. In May, a storm that collapsed the roof took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Shop repairs and licensing: $250
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $1,050
• Working capital for the first month: $750
With deep gratitude,
Elijah

Thinking of you and your family, Elijah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of San Diego.
