Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Kisumu.

Anyango has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Anyango can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Anyango's family will cook lunch for the team. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • wishing you peace. Wishing Anyango a smooth procedure and a full recovery. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too

    • This could happen to any of us. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Kisumu.
