My niece, Marta, is 11 and in Year 10. Marta loves school but English writing has been a struggle since the school was closed during the floods. The national exam is in May.
We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in San Diego or online, for about ten weeks.
Marta is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions.
If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in English writing, you could change the course of Marta's year.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

rooting for you, Ximena. Study hard! Greetings from Cebu City.
Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
Sending strength, Ximena. Your post was clear and honest. I hope May is when things finally get easier.
Your post was clear and honest. After 15 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
You're not alone, Ximena. Hope this works out for you
