An accounting tutor for Miles, 13, who's falling behind

Miles is working hard on accounting but can't afford a tutor; 1 hours a week until the university entrance would help enormously.

My younger brother, Miles, is 13 and in Grade 11. Miles loves school but accounting has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The university entrance exam is in November. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in London or online, for about twenty weeks. Miles is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in accounting, you could change the course of Miles's year. Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Hang in there, Ryan. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

    • Wishing you peace, Ryan. This could happen to any of us

      • thinking of you, Ryan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings!

        • take care, Ryan. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
