Amparo's final semester of a degree in social work in Orlando
Amparo has worked and saved for four years to study a degree in social work; a $3,150 gap now stands between her and graduation.

Amparo is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in social work at Orlando Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,150.
The registrar has said Amparo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Amparo has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Amparo would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Amparo isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Orlando Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,050
• Final term tuition: $1,850
• Exam and lab fees: $250
