Amber can't leave home - help build a ramp
Materials are donated. We need two carpenters and a helper for a weekend in Glasgow.
🇬🇧 Scotland, United Kingdom691 views
Amber has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Amber can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Amber's family will cook lunch for the team.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Praying for you, Grayson. Wishing Amber a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
Good luck, Grayson. Get well soon
Sending strength. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Glasgow.
Wishing you the best. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Glasgow.
Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Bogor.

Best of luck, Grayson. Wishing Amber a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.
Hope it all works out, Grayson. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Mangaluru donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Mangaluru.
Sending strength, Grayson. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
