After a broken pelvis, I have been mostly housebound for 7 weeks. My family live far away, and the days can feel very long. I'm not looking for therapy - I've that covered - but for conversation. I'm hoping for someone who can call for about 30 minutes once a week whenever suits us both. I like history, chess and quiz shows, and can listen to anything. This can be from anywhere in the world as long as you speak English. We can arrange the calls through the platform, with email shared only when we're both comfortable. Thanks for even thinking about it. I hope life is good to you.

  • Thanks for sharing this, Ali. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Kathmandu.

    • Thinking of you and your family. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Iztapalapa.

      • hang in there, Ali. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Riyadh.

        • Sending good thoughts, Ali. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.

          • sending strength, Ali. Hope the doctors have good news.
