Alexandra's palate reconstruction surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in February is out of reach without help covering $1,700 of the cost.

In October I was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections. My surgeon at Cluj-Napoca University Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for February. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay, I'm still $1,700 short.
Doctors at Cluj-Napoca University Hospital told me gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. I work as a school bus driver, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,250 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a school bus driver have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. I'll not be able to stand for more than ten minutes during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
